KCR Launches Third Phase Of Haritha Haram In Karimnagar:- Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has launched the third phase of Haritha Haram programme at the Low Manair Dam (LMD) in Karimnagar district.

KCR was accompanied by some of his senior cabinet colleagues including Minister for Forests Jogu Ramanna. He was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival.

The saplings were planted by KCR at Mid-Manair dam and kick started the programme. The Telangana government plans to plant 40 crore saplings on a massive scale, in the third phase of Haritha Haram.

In nearly 30,000 private and public institutions in the state, the Telangana State Government, is planning to plant atleast 50 lakh saplings this year. All the Members of Parliament (MPs), legislators and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party leaders are participating in the programme.

Meanwhile, saplings at botanical gardens in Hyderabad were planted by IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao. With Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) planning to plant one crore saplings in Hyderabad this year, the government is taking initiative with Haritha Haaram programme.

Moreover, at Moosarambagh area and under Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits, the saplings are being planted.
