C Narayana Reddy Passed Away:- Veteran lyric writer and  poet C Narayana Reddy passed away this morning in Hyderabad. He has been suffering with health issues from sometime and he has been rushed to the hospital after his health worsened. Doctors informed that he is no more and the Telugu states have been left in deep shock with the sudden demise. Born in a remote village of Karimnagar district, C Narayana Reddy penned over 3000 songs for Telugu films. In 1992, he was felicitated with country’s third-highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, and was nominated to the Upper House of Parliament in 1997.

The 85-year old writer always stayed away from controversies and he received exceptional response for his work. C Narayana Reddy has been awarded with Padmasri in 1977 and with Gnanapeet award in 1988. C Narayana Reddy had MA along with PhD Literature from Osmania University where he started his career as a Professor. The last rites of C Narayana Reddy are expected to be held tomorrow.
