TS - ECET To Be Re-Conducted Again?

TS - ECET To Be Re-Conducted Again?:- The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has decided to re-conduct the Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS-ECET).

The decision comes in the wake of technical malfunctionalities that impacted the smooth conduct of the TS-ECET examinations. The examination was held on May 6. The incident also triggered widespread protests from the students and parents, who demanded the authorities to re-conduct the ECET examination.

The administration of JNTU-H, following the vociferous protests, swung into action and took representations from candidates.

The re-test will be conducted to the affected candidates only. Around 130 candidates stated that they faced problems with the question paper and response in answer sheets, said the University.

ECET Convenor, Prof. A Govardhan said “Candidates who are willing to appear for Re-examination are required to register at ecet.tsche.ac.in.” He further said that the students can download exam application form from ecet.tsche.ac.in and the filled-in applications can be submitted at the convener office, TS ECET-2017, JNTUH or the scanned copy of the duly signed filled-in application be mailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The application forms will not be accepted by courier or post, the convener said.

The last date for submission of filled-in applications either by hand or through e-mail is May 30. The re-exam will be conducted on June 4 from 10 am to 1 pm at JNTU-H College of Engineering Hyderabad.

A total of 25,139 candidates had registered out of which 24,458 appeared for the test and 22,450 students had managed to qualify the test.
