TRS To Remain In Power In Telangana For 20 Years : Harish Rao

The Telangana State Irrigation Minister, T. Harish Rao, has made a riveting remark stating that the state would remain in power for the next 20 years.

The irrigation minister, who was being wooed by the Congress to join the party, addressing the media at Singur guest house in Sangareddy district, yesterday, said, after the announcement of free fertilizers scheme, made by the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), the minds of Congress leaders have become blank.

Harish Rao added that, it will take another five years for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government to revoke back all the injustices done to Telangana by the previous Congress and Telugu Desam party governments. The minister, citing an example, quoted, for the first time, under the Ghanpur Ayacut scheme, the TRS government has provided irrigation facility to 40,000 acres and under the Singur canal, the government provided 30,000 acres to areas, in erstwhile Medak district. Farmers, who have grown crops for the first time during the last 60 years, are the happiest lot now, added Harish Rao.

The minister, yesterday visited three assembly segments and held meetings with the local TRS leaders, asking them to gather people for the TRS public meeting, which is scheduled to be held in Warangal, on April 27. Lakhs of people would attend the meeting from Medak district alone and make the meeting remarkable in the history on Telangana. Harish Rao, is the nephew of the Telangana state CM KCR.
