Strict Action Will Be Taken Against Lawyers In Jadhav’s Case: LHC Bar Association

A strict action will be taken, against any lawyer, who extends his services to the former Indian Ex Navy officer, Kulbhushan Jadhav, said Lahore Bar Commission (LHC).

Kulbhushan Jadhav, was given death sentence by the Pakistani Military Court, in charges of spying.

Lahore High Court Bar Association Secretary-General Amer Saeed Raan said, “the court has unanimously decided to cancel the membership of any lawyer who offers his services to Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.” The Court has asked the Government, not to bend down to any foreign pressure in the case of Jadhav. Further, India, has declared the naval officer, as his son, and hence putting pressure on the Pakistani Government, for his release. “We demand that the Indian spy who is involved in playing with the lives of Pakistanis should not be spared and the government (should) ensure his hanging,” said Saeed Raan.

Earlier, Pakistan’s top military commanders under army chief Gen Qamar Bajwa, made it clear that “no compromise” shall be made on such “anti-state acts.” The Army Chief, Bajwa confirmed the death sentence to Jadhav, after the Field General Court Martial found him guilty of “espionage and sabotage activities” in Pakistan. Earlier, the Indian Government, had acknowledged that Jadhav served the navy, but denied that he has any connection with the government.

Jadhav was arrested on March 3, last year, in Balochistan, on charges of being a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent, boosting the Baloch separatist movement and attempting to destroy the USD 46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Pakistani Army, had released a confessional video of Jadhav, who was intendedly saying, that he was a RAW agent, employed to destabilize the Country’s efforts in restoring peace in Karachi and Balochistan. He confessed before a magistrate and the court that he was tasked by RAW to plan, aiming to destabilize and wage war against Pakistan by impeding the efforts of Law Enforcement Agencies for restoring peace in Balochistan and Karachi.
