TDP MLA Gowthu Syamsundar Sivaji Sits on Dharna

A senior TDP MLA Gowthu Syamsundar Sivaji sat on dharna on the Krishna river bund when police stopped him from going to Assembly. Police said that as the CM was travelling on the river bund road, he cannot go.

The leader got anger at the traffic restrictions and sat on dharna for over one hour. He got up only after the police officials urged him to take the Undavalli route to reach the assembly.

Shivaji slammed the cops and said that "if an MLA like me was stopped, I can very well imagine the troubles that common people are put."

He said, "I would take the issue to the notice of the privilege committee of the assembly."

This is not the first time the MLA has faced such insults. Previously, he was not permitted to reach the helipad to welcome the chief minister who came to tour Srikakulam.
