Polavaram Project's crucial phase of its construction has finally started. The Spillway Concrete works of the project has started.
The foundation for the main dam will start from January. The state government is preparing to build the projects crucial phases by 2018.
The state government has also planned to build a coffer dam to store some water by 2018 temporary. The entire work is divided into 25 small parts and will be made in time.
The entire process of the project will be added and presented in CM Dash Board. Polavaram Multi-Purpose Irrigation Project comes with a total capacity of 194 TMC which will irrigate about Five Lakh Acres over Two Crops Every year.
The Project will also produce 960MW of Hydel Power which is the lowest available power in the market right now. Hence the project is said to be very profitable for the state and is used as the ‘Life Line’.
