Telangana Govt. Agrees To Money, Not Assets of The 10th Schedule Institution

The Telangana government has agreed to share money with AP but not the assets of 10th Schedule Institutions listed in the AP Re-organization Act on population basis.

By asserting that there is no clarity on the Supreme Court’s verdict in sharing the assets of the 10th Schedule Institution, the AP government is quoting the same section and saying that the assets should be shared between the two states.

The officials of the Telangana government says, “Government of the state of AP or of TS, as the case may be, shall, in respect of the institutions specified in the Tenth Schedule to this Act, located in that state, continue to provide facilities to the people of the other state.”

Sharing of assets in 10th Schedule Institution
They have also said that act does not speak about sharing of assets in the 10th Schedule Institution between the two states.

According to the AP government officials, section 47 and 52 of the AP Re-organization Act, the assets of these institutions should be shared between the two states.

According to TS government the funds of APPCB were shared between the two states but not the assets. Along with this the TS is also ready to share funds of these institutions available in the banks.
