BSF Soldier Injured in Cross-Border Attack, Dies

Official said that "A border security force (BSF) soldier, injured in Pakistan firing in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura last night, has died."

The BSF Solider Sushil Kumar  was shifted to a hospital in Jammu after he got injured in the firing which took place across the border. He succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

In the RS Pura sector which is located at the  international border (IB), witnessed ceasefire twice on Sunday by the Pakistan Rangers who used mortar shells and small arms.

"Border Security Force (BSF) gave a suitable reply", a BSF spokesman said.

Pakistan Rangers had targeted the villages in the border on October 21. They opened firing by using  automatic weapons and mortar shells across the IB.

The late night attack took place around 11 pm and continued on Saturday also. The Pakistan Rangers used 60 and 81 mm shells in the RS Pura sector where Korotana Khurd and Budhipur Jattan villages were there.

In this attack around seven Pakistan Rangers, personnel along with a terrorist were killed. Other three got seriously injured when BSF attacked them. The main target for Pakistani troops was the sectors present in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Poonch and Rajouri districts.
