A Lawyer In Delhi Disclosed Unaccounted Income Of Whooping Rs. 125 Crore

A lawyer in Delhi, practicing at the Delhi High Court as well as the Supreme Court has surprised the Income Tax officials after declaring his unaccounted income of Rs. 125 crores. Reports said that the lawyer made the declaration after the Income Tax department searched his south Delhi residence.

The lawyer, who has been well networked in the legal crisis, came into the limelight when he brought a bungalow in central Delhi for a massive price of Rs. 100 crore. According to the media sources in the I-T department, their search threw up documents about several other properties of the lawyer along with his shares allegedly in shell companies.

The search on the lawyer was carried under the I-T department’s larger drive against consultants, lobbyists and other, who has a reputation of getting things done. The action is concentrated on sectors such as aviation, infrastructure and defense departments like I-T and customs.

Earlier, the operation had led the I-T department to Sanjay Bhadari, a dealer in the defense sector, Deepak Talwar, a corporate consultant known for his deep insights into the aviation and roads-highways sectors and relations with political P N Sanyal, a well-known figure in the income tax customs community.

According to the reports the I-T department will move on high-profile targets who are suspected to have huge amounts of undeclared money and has failed to avail a window to declare their incomes offered by the Income Tax department.
