In a shocking incident, Burglars broke into the house at Madhapur on Thursday night and stole 50 tolas of gold.

Police said  "Amarnath, an employee with Turbo Engines, was in Mumbai on work and his wife Devika and their daughter-in-law had gone to their relatives’ house. His mother, Prabhavathi, 57, had gone to her daughter’s house next door to stay overnight. The family had taken the jewelry from their bank locker for a function but was not able to return it."

Miyapur inspector K. Ramesh said "the gang opened the cover of the lock and then opened the levers and entered the house. The gang used puja lamps to light their way, decamped with the booty. They also sprinkled water to wipe out fingerprints, The watchman was sleeping, and the apartment was not equipped with CCTV cameras."

Police added "Eider Motors chairman Shiva Kumar was arrested by the Jubilee Hills police on Friday. He had absconded after being previously released on bail after being arrested by the central crime station. He had allegedly cheated people by collecting huge sums of money on the pretext of providing dealerships. A man name Yuvraj Balasaheb Katkar had paid Rs 16 lakh."

Police are investigating on this and try to trace the burglars. FIR has been registered. Nowadays robbery is very common in Hyderabad. Apartments are mostly not under CCTV surveillance and due to which burglars take advantage of this. Police even advice that all the Residential complex should have CCTV for safety wise.
