A short film editor, went to the RC Puram police station to file a complaint against the local MLA’s aides. But instead of writing the complaint he was beaten up by an ASI inside the station.Yadagiri was beaten up by the driver and gunman of Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, when he asked them to move their vehicle aside.
38-year-old K. Yadagiri, was a resident of Lingampally. He was driving towards BHEL on Tuesday morning. When he reached at the Hanuman temple in Lingampally, he saw an MLA’s car parked and driver Mahender Reddy inside. Yadgiri felt the vehicle was blocking traffic, so he asked the driver to move it aside. This led to an argument between the driver and the film editor.
“He drove the vehicle some distance and parked it. After that a gunman and two others came to me and abused me. They beat me up severely,” he said.
After the fight Yadgiri immedietly went to the RC Puram police station to file a complaint and met the station writer. The writer instead of writing down the complaint, snatched his mobile phone and asked him to sit. Meanwhile, the MLA’s driver Mahender Reddy came to the police station and met ASI Balakrishna Reddy.
“Later, he came inside and tried to assault me. When I tried to defend myself, the ASI slapped me and abused me in vulgar language. The CCTV cameras at the reception will reveal what happened there,” Yadagiri said.
Yadagiri filed later filed complaint against the MLA’s driver, gunman, ASI and two others for attacking him.
Police registered a case in the first complaint. RC Puram DSP S. Surender Reddy said "the police will enquire into the allegations against the ASI."
