CMJayaLalitha Dead?

As rumours spread like wildfire through social media on the health of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who is presently admitted in the Apollo hospital in Chennai, political opponents have thought of an ingenious way to taunt “Amma” while she is sick. Their latest weapon is the Jayalalitha’s Wikipedia page where they have set about editing the information in a bid to proclaim her dead!

There is absolutely no information to justify the death of the veteran leader either from the AIADMK or from the Apollo hospital where Jayalalithaa is admitted. In a statement released on Friday, Karunanidhi said the Tamil Nadu government has a responsibility to inform people regarding the health status of the Chief Minister. He also urged the Governor to ensure that this is done to allay the fears of the people.

She was again elected as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 2016 Elections on May 19, 2016, with a margin of 39,545 votes by which retained RK Nagar constituency after defeating DMK rival. Jayalalitha became the second Chief minister after M. G. Ramachandran, the former CM of Tamil Nadu to be elected consecutively twice. In her victory speech, she commented on 19 May 2016, "Even when 10 parties allied themselves against me, I did not have a coalition and I placed my faith in God and built an alliance with the people. It is clear that the people have faith in me and I have total faith in the people"

Unofficial sources say that there is deployment of Paramilitary forces in Chennai & other key posts. Seeing these actions/responses , many people are thinking the rumor could be true.
