He said, “I have not earned thousands of acres. I know the pain and value of hunger, plight and no one is eligible to teach morals to me. I have no godfathers in politics. My only godfathers are people's problems. My godfathers are you, the people.

He asked, “How dare they accuse me of being led by BJP or TDP? Do anyone have the guts to boss me? Am I in a situation to be led by anyone?”

He questioned, “If they accuse me of part-time politics, I am ready to quit films right away. You (fans) will have to feed me then, I don't have money to feed myself. I will go to my people's houses and ask for food and fight for their problems.”

He added, “If Congress stabbed us in the back with state bifurcation, BJP stabbed right in our stomachs by cheating us on special status. I don't support YSRCP's call for bandh. Why do people have to suffer. Let the leaders fight for special status.”
