Vacate Pakistan occupied Kashmir, India to Pakistan

MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said,"India demands that Pakistan must fulfill the obligation to vacate its illegal occupation of PoK." After Pakistan observed 'Kashmir Accession to Pakistan Day' on July 19 and Black Day on Kashmir (July 20) to mark the killing of terrorist and Hizbul commander Burhan Wani, India hit back, demanding that Islamabad should give up its illegal occupation of PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) and stop supporting violence and terrorism on Indian territory.

India said that the events of July 20 were led by UN-designated terrorists, who had also protested the elimination of Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Akhtar Mansour.

"India strongly condemns the encouragement and support which such terrorists and their activities receive from Pakistan's state," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

“We once again ask Pakistan to stop inciting and supporting violence and terrorism in any part of our country and refrain from its deplorable meddling in our internal affairs in any manner," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

Protests in Pakistan and other events on the occasion of what it described as Black Day on Kashmir were led and supported by not just by the likes of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin, but also by Jaish-e-Muhammed chief Masood Azhar, an accused in the recent Pathankot airbase attack case.

Azhar had said that the Pathankot terror attack had lifted the spirits of Kashmiris and that it was important for Pakistan to support jihad in the state.

India has asked Pakistan to ensure the safety and security of the Indian high commission and its officials in the country in view of the threat of marches and protests at the mission.
