In a tragic fire accident, a total of six people died as fire broke out in a prison in Asuncion on Friday.
According to the officials, five inmates and a prison guard died on spot due of smoke inhalation.
A rescue official said there was a danger that some of the prison's walls might collapse.
Other inmates were rescued and the fire was brought under control.
State Public Prosecutor, Javier Diaz Veron said a team will visit the jail to probe the incident.
Tacumbu Prison is the largest in Paraguay. The Prison has a capacity for only 1,655 inmates, but presently there are 3,980 inmates.
