SCRMU to go on Indefinite Strike from July 11

The South CentralĀ Railway Mazdoor Union (SCRMU) and other unions has served a notice to the SCR General Manager to go on indefinite strike from Saturday, July11.

The unions under the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen took out a massive rally on Thursday. They have announced a nation wide strike.

They demanded to increase the minimum wage of Rs 26,000 and scrapping of the New Pension Scheme (NPS).

They also want restoration of the old pension scheme for employees who joined on and after January 1, 2004.

Even office-bearers of the recognized unions in every zone of the Indian Railways have served notices to the respective General Managers.
