A woman has been arrested for blackmailing and trying to force a 23 year old into flesh trade in New Delhi.

The accused Anjali's husband Altaf, who earlier allegedly raped the 23 year old girl, is absconding, the police said.

According to the police, Altaf had befriended the Uzbek woman on Facebook, who travelled to Delhi on May 6, after being lured by him on marriage promise.

Altaf who received the woman, took her to a hotel, where he allegedly raped her and filmed the entire act. It was since then, he along with his wife, has started blackmailing the Uzbek woman.
 
According to the victim, Altaf and his wife, had snatched her passport, visa and money and confined her into a room and beat up regularly. Not stopping there, she was even forced to attend to the guests.

The complainant, along with her friend living in Delhi, had approached at the Vasant Kunj (north) police station.

A case has been registered under IPC Sections 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave) and 376 (rape).

Registering a case under the immoral trafficking act, the police are now even conducting the investigation on the possibilities of a bigger racket, involving Uzbek women flourishing in the area.
