9 Thefts in 6 hours in Mumbai

Just in a span of six hours, according to the police, nine house-breaking thefts and six attempted thefts were reported in Mumbai.

A police official from Kanjurmarg Police Station said that, all the thefts and attempted thefts took place last night, at few chawls in Ashok Nagar area in suburban Kanjurmarg.

According to the police, the thieves stole the valuables worth over Rs. 5 lakh and fled the spot.

The police suspect that, the unidentified thieves, would have probably visited the area, several times before and noticed the situations over there, and only then, made a perfect plan to enter the area for the theft.
 
All the houses, the thieves entered, were locked and no one was present inside.  The neighbors of all those families in the stolen houses, reported the matter.

Responding to the issue, the police further said that, they have lodged 15 cases on the thieves and dog squad will be used on the issue, along with gathering the  CCTV footage from the neighboring places. The police however said that, no headway has been made into the case.
