Reportedly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is clearing the way for his son Nara Lokesh, to step into Rajya Sabha.

In the beginning, there are speculations that, Lokesh would be a minister in AP cabinet, but from the close sources, it is now found out that, Naidu is willing to make his son, Lokesh, sit in Rajya Sabha, expecting that, step would boost up his political career in Delhi.

As of now, there are 11 people in Rajya Sabha, from Andhra Pradesh. Out of those 11, four people – Sujana Chowdary, Nirmala Seetharaman and Congress MPs, JD Seelam and Jairam Ramesh, completes their tenure by the third week of June, this year.

Out of the four vacant seats, TDP would get three. Sujana Chowdary and Nirmala Seetharaman, are expected to get the renewal for their tenure. But the buzz is, Lokesh would be replaced in Sujana’s place, as Chowdary maintained close relations with Arun Jaitley, ignoring the responsibilities, he had towards AP.

On the other hand, reportedly, Union ministers, Venkaiah Naidu and Nirmala Sitharaman are trying for Rajyasabha seats from AP. If those two, bag one seat each, the remaining one, would fall into Lokesh’s account.

But the question is, how far Lokesh can use his influence and act favorably to AP?

Lokesh gets Central level contacts

Naidu opines that, if Lokesh is at the Centre, getting some key approvals, would be easier. On the other hand, as there are still 3 more years, for the general elections, this period will make him gain good experience, as the Central level leader.

Moreover, he would even improve contacts with the leaders at the central level, which would by default be helpful, to build his political career.

Confidence in Naidu’s voice, if Lokesh is at the Centre!

Currently, Naidu is facing several issues with the Centre and is not in a position to force it, for the funds or any other approvals. Issues like Cash for vote, phone conversation, Call money and many others, are stopping Naidu, from raising the voice against the Centre.

Amaravati in hands of Lokesh?

At this time, if Naidu’s son Lokesh is at the Centre, he can use the best of his son, to get the approvals and also funds to AP state and big projects like Amaravati, would not face many problems and thus in turn support the development in AP state.

So, hope Naidu would be strict about his decision and send Lokesh, to Rajya Sabha,for the future of both AP and Lokesh.
