Chennai rains: Compromised Kamal, donates Rs. 15 lakhs

Kamal Haasan, who is allegedly involved in the rivalry with the Tamilnadu government regarding the Chennai rains issue, finally donates Rs. 15 lakhs to the relief fund.

In the past, Kamal Haasan showed his anger on Tamilnadu government and especially Chief Minister Jayalalitha. Even he had to feel the jolts from the government, after his most expensive film, Vishwaroopam release was halted, complaining that, the movie had the controversial content, insulting the Muslim community.

Kamal Haasan strongly argued against the government, that there is no such content in the film and finally he had to end up deleting few scenes, which appeared sensitive and release the film.

It was then, the rivalry between Kamal and Jayalalitha had become viral. But that did not stop from Kamal, making the second part of Vishwaroopam.

Meanwhile, Chennai rains issue had witnessed another great outburst from Kamal against the government, saying that, his tax amount is being misused by the government. Kamal opined that, seeking funds from the public is illegal.

Countering Kamal’s statements, ADMK Finance Minister O.Paneer Selvam said that, Kamal is not able to find out the possibilities of the rescue operations and making the baseless allegations against the government.

Kamal Haasan, who was expected to counter these statements, calmed down and said, that he never spoke anything against the government.

It seems, Kamal is not in a mood to involve in the fresh controversy with Jayalalitha and dig himself further deeper.

Hinting the same indirectly, Kamal now came forward and donated Rs. 15 lakhs to Nadigar Sangham. From there, the money will be sent to Chief Minister’s relief fund.

She even visited the flood affected areas and offered her service to the victims.
