Paris attacks: At least 140 died in gunfire and blasts

At least 140 people died and many injured in Bataclan concert hall, Paris, in a horrifying gunfire and blast attack.

When the Eagles of Death Metal, an American band from Los Angeles, were entertaining the audience at the night club, a horrifying attack took place, in which 140 people lost their lives and many others are left injured.

After the incident, French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency across the country. He further said that, all borders have been closed, after at least six gun and bomb attacks rocked the city.

Speaking on the issue, the police said that, a gunman opened fired with a Kalashnikov at Le Petit Cambodge restaurant previous night, killing at least 14 people and injuring 20.

Meanwhile, the Paris residents, were asked to stay indoors, as attackers could still be on the loose. Following the simultaneous attacks, about 1,500 soldiers were deployed in the city.  

The locals said, “Certainly from the very first moment the police were searching from various other bars and restaurants they were asking people to clear out bars and restaurants in the area. Clearly, police are very concerned about other potential targets.”

Officials said that, they even noticed a suicide bomber detonated explosives near the Stade de France stadium where a France-Germany friendly football match was taking place. At least four people were killed and 11 were injured over there.

With the intention of dealing the unfold situation, French President Francois Hollande, who was at the Stade de France, and his interior minister rushed to the ministry.

Hollande said, “In these difficult moments, we must - and I'm thinking of the many victims, their families and the injured - show compassion and solidarity. But we must also show unity and calm.”

The attacks in Paris is outrageous - Obama

US President Barack Obama who took the incident severely opined that, Paris attack is “outrageous” and said the US was united with France.

Obama said, “Once again we've seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. "We stand prepared and ready to provide whatever assistance that the government and the people of France need.”

Obama further bring the terrorists to justice and go after any terrorist networks.

“Those who think that they can terrorise the people of France or the values that they stand for are wrong," Obama added.
