Farmer suicides: Kavitha adopts farmer families

Upon the farmer suicides issue is getting viral in Telangana state, TRS MP Kavitha announced that, Telangana Jagrithi will adopt farmer families and assist them financially, every month.

On Sunday, Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagrithi leader, Referring to farmer suicides issue, Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that, the Jagrithi organization identified 389 farmer families, who are in severe crisis after farmer suicides, and thus provide financial assistance to them.

She said that, they procured Rs. 1 crore for this purpose and distribute to 389 farmer families, dividing it as Rs. 2500 each to every affected family, per month, up to four years.

She said that, the oppositions are posing baseless allegations on Telangana government for the farmer suicides issue.

Farmers did not care about Telangana bandh- MP Kavitha

Kavitha said, “The farmers did not care about the bandh, oppositions conducted on 10th of this month. In that sense, it is not only farmers, even Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s own Heritage outlets functioned on bandh day. That itself says whether the bandh was successful or not. If the oppositions are really serious about bandh, why did not they close heritage outlets on Saturday? The bandh has turned out to be failure and the public are least concerned about it.”

Kavitha further said that, as there are many rules and regulations in clearing the loans, the government is unable to do it all at once. But assured to waive off all the farmer loans very soon.

At the time, where the farmer suicides are increasing, the financial assistance from Telangana jagrithi is a small relief. Moreover, as it is assured for four long years, it would bring a smile on farmer families face, but even then, this might not be the final solution to lead the suicide committed families.

Hope the government waives all the loans soon, as promised and thus bring back a hope on the agriculture in the state.
