After Netaji files, CM Mamatha to release 1937-47 cabinet minutes

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee, who was not satisfied with the released 64 Netaji files, has now decided to release the 1937-47 cabinet minutes into the public.

Netaji Subhas Chandrabose death mystery, which has become a question since few days is continuing its waves till date. A few days ago, when Netaji files are released into the public, many facts were found out from it, especially it was confirmed that, Netaji did not die in 1945.

Now, not stopping there, Mamatha Bannerjee, who is not satisfied with the 64 files opened, is demanding the centre, to declassify more files of all the freedom fighters.

Speaking about this, Mamatha said, “As there is no proper clarity through the exposure of Netaji files, it would be better, if the centre allows to declassify other files.” She further proposed to digitize the files of the cabinet decisions, taken during the British administration in the year 1937-1947. The officials are planning to make it possible by the start of the next week.

Netaji life after 1941

“This is a very good initiative from the government, as we get the opportunity to know, how the governments before independence perceived Netaji. Especially, if any information of the Netaji whereabouts in 1941 and 1943 and after 1945, after which he was disappeared was found, that would be the greatest achievement of the government”, said Purabi Roy, a historian, author and Netaji researcher.

He further said that, in 1941, Netaji went to Kolkatta and maintained good contacts with the communists. Since then, Netaji and the communists are under the surveillance. Former Gadar Party members, Ajoy Ghosh, Vasavpunnaiyya and Baldev Singh had close relations with Netaji.

“Baldev Singh helped Netaji to go to Afghanistan, from where he left for Europe in April, 1941. It is that flight, which he had left for Europe, is to be known about. If that information can be found out by the government and also if there is any information of Netaji's journey back to south-east Asia, then the major information can be known,” Purabi Roy said.

Reason for delay is declassifying Netaji files

The Centre responded to the issue, stating that, there is no problem for the government in declassifying Netaji files, but is taking time because of a few of the international ramifications.

Responding to this, BJP state president Rahul Sinha said, “Netaji files are related to the several nations, and that is making the centre for delaying to declassify, but very soon all the files will be declassified.”

After declassifying Netaji files, Congress, communists will be embarrassed - Sinha

Rajesh Sinha said that, the opposition parties are unnecessarily making Netaji files an issue and cornering the centre, keeping in mind the next elections. It is to be noted that, Congress and the communist parties are going to be cornered and be embarrassed, and it will disappoint Trinamool, after Netaji files are declassified.”

How would Congress and communists parties go embarrassed after Netaji files are declassified? Whether they are linked to Netaji in any way? Are they even involved in Netaji life after 1945? These are the questions, that are now being rotating among the people now. Let us see, where the case leads, after all the Netaji files are declassified by the centre.
