According to the parents, when they complained the officials on the beforehand that, there are rats in the intensive care unit, the hospital allegedly had rat traps placed inside the room. But unfortunately those traps could not save the boy from biting by the rats, just a day later.

The issue had now reached Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Dr K Srinivas and he had sought a report from the hospital. As of now, the inquiry is being carried on in the hospital and would sort out the case soon, Hospital Superintendent Dr Venugopal said.

Guntur, which is a city, is just a few kilometers away, from the proposed capital of AP, Vijayawada. So if this is the case of the government hospitals, in the city like Guntur, thinking about the condition of the hospitals in other rural villages, is tough.

In fact, the same situation can be seen in Hyderabad Osmania, Gandhi hospitals too. There are several programmes conducted, on the cleanliness of these hospitals, but no such serious action, is been taking place till date.

Now, the inquiry that is formed on the baby boy, will last for just a few days, till the parents and the media calm down as usual.
