Threatened woman conductor jumps out of a moving bus

An RTC woman conductor jumped out of the moving bus, when the checking officials were writing a charge memo against her, for issuing less tickets than the number of passengers travelling in the Godavari Pushkaralu special bus.

Godavari Pushkaraalu is the current big event in the Telugu states. Being the holiday time, a number of pilgrims has turned for Pushkaraalu and the sources of travel like buses and trains are fully crowded.

On Friday, a woman conductor named Padmavathi was alleged that, she issued less number of tickets than the passengers in the Godavari Pushkaraalu special bus, which is travelling from Jangareddygudem to Pattisam village at Kannapuram Addaroad of Jangareddygudem Mandal in West Godavari.

The checking officials stopped the bus at Lakshmipuram of Buttaigudem Mandal and verified the number of tickets issued with the number of passengers travelling in the bus. After verification, it was found that, the conductor did not issue the tickets to all the passengers. There are even a few tickets, on which there is no proper print about the details of fare or the destination.

Though Padmavathi tried to defend herself saying that, she issued the tickets to all the passengers, as there was no proper proof, the officials started preparing the charge memo. This threatened the conductor and jumped out of the moving bus. The lady had to suffer severe head injury due to the jump.

She was immediately taken to the local hospital in the beginning and then to Rajahmundry government hospital. The conductor was survived by husband and two daughters. Currently, filing the case, police started investigating it.
