14 days of remand to YSRCP MLA, Bhuma

YSRCP MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy was awarded 14 days of remand for his conflict with the police at Nandyala polling centre.

Allagadda MLA Akhila Priya had attended the Nandyala polling centre for voting on Friday. Though the queue was cleared, she did not move forward to vote. The police who observed this, asked her to vote and leave the place. Priya said that, she will vote along with her father, who is going to appear the place soon.

But the police reportedly said that, it is against the rules and asked her to vote and leave the place. This made Priya to have a clash with the officials for some time. Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who came to know about the issue rushed to the place and reportedly reacted violently with them.

On other side, police said that, they did not ask Priya to leave the place, but told to move towards the shed. Only because of that, Nagi Reddy reacted violently towards us and so had to arrest him.

Political connectivity

Relating the situation to the politics, Bhuma said that, “TDP government is planning to surpass YSRCP leaders in the state and that is the reason for my arrest.”

Police are the public servants and work to assure the protection of the people. So it is the minimum responsibility to act according to them. So it would be better even if the politicians mind it and remember that they are not an exception for it.
