Reason behind additional funds for cash for vote investigation

Complaining the expenses for the investigation of cash for vote case, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials are seeking the government for more funds, the reports say.

‘Cash for vote’ case is being considered as the very prestigious one by the ACB officials and so is using high technology to investigate it. Actually the collection of funds with the government is anyway a tradition by the ACB officials, but cash for vote investigation is being more costly than the usual.

Regarding this, the government had already issued 37 lakhs in two installments. On June 6th, it released 12 lakhs and on this Monday, another 25 lakhs.

It is known that, during the MLC elections, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught red handed bribing Rs.50 lakhs to Telangana nominated MLC Stephenson. The entire scene was recorded through spy video cameras which are very costly. Along with this, there are various other costly technologies used for investigating the case and so the ACB DG AK Khan wrote a letter to the government requesting additional funds.

No special treatment to cash for vote- AK Khan

On the other hand, when Khan was questioned about this, he said that, “there is no such special treatment of the case, it is obvious for the government to release the funds on request for every case,” he answered.
