T government in threat, expected a clarity today

The high-profile meetings here on Tuesday that set off rumors that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu would be served notice started before 10 a.m. when ACB chief A.K. Khan met Telangana Chief Minister KCR to discuss the progress in cash-for-vote scam.

The police officers involved in the investigation said, “The names of two or three persons would be figuring in the case anytime, and their interrogation too could follow, but no notice to AP CM now and any further decision would be taken, only after considering the legal experts opinions.

Anurag Sharma, Director-General of Police, Telangana, and M. Mahender Reddy, City Police Commissioner called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, but the summary of the meeting is yet to be known. 

On the other hand, the pace of activity picked up at AP CM’s residence and later in the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. J.V. Ramudu, Director-General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, and I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, Chief Secretary, were involved in a low profile discussion with Naidu. Later, the police took over the security of its buildings as per the government direction. On Wednesday, Naidu would be participating in a formal Cabinet meeting.

Speaking to a press meet, the ministers who attended the meeting on Tuesday said that, Telangana ACB officials will not have authority to issue the notice to AP CM.

87 cases against T government

The AP government is making all attempts to dip down the Telangana government. Regarding this, it constituted a special team to investigate 87 cases booked against Telangana Chief Minister KCR, on charges of phone-tapping and harassment of Telugu Desam functionaries
