Modi’s Impeccable Orational Skills Once Again Applauded in Bangladesh

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has projected his impeccable orational skills in his two-day Bangladesh visit. His one-hour long speech at Bangabandhu stadium, where he addressed a cross-section of Bangladesh society and Dhaka University Students has received wide range of rousing cheers and cries of “Modi, Modi” from the audience. This proves once again that his charisma is not limited to Indian Diaspora. Modi sealed the “Land Boundary Agreement” with Bangladesh.

Modi used every opportunity to titillate the Bengali audience with his "kemon achho" and after quizzing the audience about the quality of his Bengali, he brought the discussion of Teesta water-sharing agreement. He said "In 40 hours here, obviously we have some things left to do. If I have to take Bangladesh along, I also have to take the Indian states along." He even stressed that water was not a political issue but a humanitarian one, and he would work to seal the deal.

Modi recalled his earlier days of Jan Sangh and tries to connect his personal journey with that of Bangladesh’s liberation war, by saying that the first political rally he took part was a Jan Sangh one supporting the 1971 war. "Like you, my blood boiled at the atrocities heaped on your people.
