Shut down the business or be shot dead!

Jammu and Kashmir is place where the things never cease to calm down that easily. Not to the surprise of many, a newly created terrorist group ‘Tahreek Taliban’ issued a new rule, which has come out in the form of notice that said, to shut down all the illegal businesses by seven days or be shot dead.

The notice referred to the following businesses and issued the strict order to stop all of the following businesses in seven days.

Tahreek Taliban Notice

Translation of the message on the poster:

"We are appealing to Muslims that they should restrain themselves from the conspiracy against Islam. You are requested to follow Islamic teachings and we have the potential to finish anti-Islamic activities in state and world. You are aware about mobile operations what we carried and are warning those people who:

1. Deal in fuel business for security vehicles.

2. People selling and dealing drugs, narcotics.

3. Cable operators.

4. Those who provide shelter to outsiders.

5. Those homes where gambling takes place.

Quit these activities or face consequences. Seven days deadline."

A few days ago, the Jammu and Kashmir government assured the telecom operators with proper security in the valley, to restart their business. But the Taliban group has released the posters again to stop the business, indicating the business to be an anti- Islam one.

How is Telecom operators an anti Muslim business?

In the above mentioned businesses, all of them may some or the other way, lead to the threat of the normal lives, so there might be a valid reason to close those businesses. But the point to be considered here is, how come a telecom operator business, be an anti Islam activity. As there is no such valid reason, even the Jammu and Kashmir government assured the support. Even then, acting against the government, ‘Tahreek Taliban’ issued the posters to stop the business. The reaction of the government is yet to be heard on the issue.
