852 deaths in AP, 202 from Prakasham alone

Though the reports specified that, the effect of Summer is reduced as the temperatures got down, but there is no such fall in the death rates. The death toll in Andhra Pradesh has now risen to 852, from which 202 deaths are observed from Prakasham district alone.

266 deaths in Telangana

Coming to Telangana, according to the latest reports, around 266 deaths have been observed. A maximum temperature of 44.5°C was recorded in Ramagundam city, whereas in Andhra, Jangameswarapuram recorded 46.4°C which is thus considered as the highest temperature among both the Telugu states.

Meteorological department warns AP!

The meteorological department issued “red box” warnings for coastal Andhra Pradesh, which implies that there are high chances of heatstroke, dehydration and fatality with temperatures inching upwards of 45°C.

The best part is, there are no huge power cuts in both the states and that is considered as a major relief to the people, who chose not to come out during the day time and stay back in the home under the cool machines.

Experts say that, the monsoon may hit after May 31st and then a proper relief from the heavy heat can be found. But till then, the people are advised to stay away from the sun, consume plenty of fluids and thus get a partial relief.
