For a two day visit to Telangana, Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi will start a 15 km 'Paadayatra' in Adilabad district on Thursday.
 
Speaking about the visit, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC working president, opined that Rahul's visit is to highlight the plight of farmers in the country in general and state in particular.

Rahul visits families of farmers who committed suicide

Rahul will reach the Shamshabad airport by 4 pm on Thursday. From Haj terminal over there, he would speak to PCC members and OU student JAC. After that, he will take rest in Nirmal town that night and the next day he will proceed to 'padayatra' from the Vadiyala village at 7 am, the TPCC leader said.

He will meet the families of the farmers in that village who have committed suicide and console them, he added.

At around 4 pm, Rahul will address the farmers at Koratikal village and return to Hyderabad after the event. After completing all the programs, Rahul will then leave for Delhi by 8 pm, Mallu said.

No Telangana credit to Rahul? 

This is the first visit of Rahul to Telangana after the formation of the separate state. At the time of elections, Congress tried to claim the credit of giving the separate state, but the credit went to KCR as the people believed that his struggle for the state is the main reason of the positive result. So, KCR won the elections and Congress lost it last year. But now a call was received by Rahul from Telangana state. This seems to be a positive sign for the Congress party and Rahul to boost up in the state.
