Bomb Blast in an abandoned house in Burdwan ahead of PM's visit

Ahead of PM’s visit, a bomb blast took place in an abandoned house in Katwa's Begunkhola in Burdwan on Saturday. Two women injured in the blast and they were taken to the district hospital for treatment. The blast happened at around 8 am in the morning. Bomb squads rushed to the spot and started the investigation.

An explosion occurred in a house n the Khagragarh locality of Burdwan last year October. Two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists were killed and a third injured. The police seized 55 improvised explosive devices, RDX, wrist watch dials and SIM cards. NIA also recovered a Pen Drive that shows bomb making.

Mr. Modi will be visiting Kolkata today evening and will launch three social security schemes there. This is Modi’s first visit since he comes into the power in 2014.
