CPM which played key role in the Politics once, is now silent on many issues. In 2004, the party which won 60 seats, now limited to 9 seats. Even it lost in Kerala too.
 
To overcome the present situations, in Vizag, the party is conducting 21st national Consortium from Tuesday to Sunday. In the Consortium, they are going to discuss about the any flaws they committed and the main reasons to lose the confidence in the people. Substituting Prakash Kaarat, the party is going to elect a new member in the meeting as the National chief to the party.

These Consortiums are generally conducted for every 3 years and this time they are going to discuss about the plans that can withstand the party in the future. From the past 30 years the party standards and all the other policies are once again to come into the discussion after long time.

There are 860 members who will be attending the Consortium. On Tuesday, at 10am, the initiation formalities like hoisting the CPM flag will take place and from there, they are going to discuss on several other issues. On the last day, that is on 19th,  a public meeting is going to be held at Visakha beach.

RSP leader Abani Roy, CPI Chief Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, CPI liberation leader Kavitha Krishnan, All India forward block leader Debabratha Vishwas were few others who were invited to the meeting

Y Ramana who has a working experience for Hollywood films and also few Tollywood films like Damarukam, Eega, Raajanna as an Art Director decorated this stage for CPM Consortium.
