Powerloom workers heard a good news from Telangana government on Thursday.

Powerloom workers are continuously facing the severe losses as they are not getting a right price for the work they do. Most of the workers said that the past governments promised them few benefits but could not do them in practical but it is Telangana government that is turned out for them.

Telangana government after hearing to many powerloom workers problems finally took a decision to give a subsidy in electricity for the next five years.

Residents and powerloom workers of Siricilla, Kareem nagar district were thoroughly happy with the government's decision and showered their happiness on KCR.

Comparing to all the places, Siricilla has largest number of powerlooms and basing on this, Telangana government took this decision for entire Siricilla.

Government cleared 7 crore value subsidy relating to powerloom workers in Siricilla. “Cloth industry is completely facing severe losses and at this point of time, a subsidy like this is very much helpful for us” they said

In the past, Due to the heavy losses, there are many suicides of the workers in this area. The Congress government which is ruling at that time just offered 50% of subsidy which could not reach everybody. Telangana government which cleared 7 crores of subsidy is a part of this subsidy also.

Presently there are 35000 powerlooms in Siricilla and due to the present subsidy offered by the government, the workers are going to be benefitted for about 60 lakhs per month.
