Mysterious Pigeon was seen with a chip and Arabic script

A pigeon carrying suspicious electronic chip and a ring with code was seen by a guard in Gujarat near Indo-Pak border. The incident, apparently linked to terrorist or anti-social activists, troubled the police, forest, coast guard, and intelligence departments.

After catching the mysterious pigeon, the local administration informed the matter to the Union home ministry. Then the coast guard, forest department, forensic experts and the state’s Anti-Terrorism Squad were directed to pitch in to examine the matter.

The mysterious pigeon was first seen on March 20 about five nautical miles away from the shore of Salaya Essar jetty, which is under construction, in Gujarat's Devbhumi Dwarka district.

According to the reports, a security guard noticed the suspicious pigeon carrying a chip (had 'Benjing Dual' on it) on one of its legs and a number '28733' written in a ring in the other leg. The pigeon wing was written with a word 'Rasul-Ul-Allah' (in Arabic language).

The jetty guards handed over the pigeon to coast guards. They have informed the local police and registered a preliminary report. The district police removed the ring and the chip from the pigeon's legs and sent the two items to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar for examination.

At present we cannot attribute that pigeon and its goods to terrorist groups, the pigeon might have come for drinking water after escaping from a ship or a house. However, the detailed report which is yet to come may address all the issues.
