Raj Thackeray ridicules BJP

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena [MNS] chief Raj Thackeray teased the Bharatiya Janata Party over their humiliating defeat in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections. The cartoon sketched by Thackeray showed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah as twin towers, destroyed by Air Zadoo [Arvind Kejriwal] and to the left side of the cartoon, US President Barack Obama is spotted watching the Delhi poll results on television screen.

Speaking to Times of India, Raj Thackeray said, “Once Obama entered the scene, Modi and Shah appeared to me as the twin towers of New York and Kejriwal became the aircraft. The media reports about the BJP drawing electoral mileage out of the US president's recent India visit "ignited" my imagination and that the cartoon needed to be seen from Obama's prism.”

Hitting back at the cartoon, Maharashtra BJP chief Ashish Shelar advised Raj Thackeray to quit politics and join as full-time cartoonist. MNS leaders countered BJP's advise adding, Thackeray knows how to run a party and he is a self made charismatic leader. BJP also hit back at Shiv Sena which criticised the Saffron party in its mouth-piece on the note of Delhi election defeat, asking to quit the government at State and Centre.
