Chiranjeevi demands more compensation

Actor and Congress party Rajya Sabha MP Chiranjeevi has announced Rs 50 lakhs aid from MP LAD funds to the cyclone victims of Hudhud and also said, along with national Congress leaders, he will be touring Vizag and Uttarandhra districts on 19 and 20th of this month. However, Chiranjeevi was surprised as the Union government did not announced this devastation as a 'National Calamity.'

Chiranjeevi released a press release earlier today and demanded the state government to put more pressure on the Centre to sanction more funds and also get the 'national calamity' status. Chiranjeevi appealed to all his fans to take part in the relief operations and also urged them to continue this gesture as long as normalcy is restore in the places where the damage is more.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Vizag and Uttarandhra later this week. With VIPs pouring down at the affected regions, the relief operations are getting disturbed constantly.
