Narendra Modi 'Swachh Bharat Mission'

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched cleanliness campaign on Thursday 2nd October from the Valmiki Basti in New Delhi on Thursday. PM Modi has announced everyone to join along with the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' and promote it to everyone in India. He added during the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, said we have gained freedom under leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, but his dream of clean India is still unsuccessful.

64-year-old Narendra Modi had asked everyone to take pictures of their areas where they saw garbage. Modi had started a social media campaign and invited nine people to post pictures of cleaning that area and they will invite another nine people. Modi has invited nine people on social media campaign includes Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Yoga guru Ramdev baba and group of  Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Narendra Modi Government will spend Rs 2 lakh crore in a five-year to clean India by October 2019, while the Urban Development Ministry will allocate Rs 62,000 crore for cleaning towns in India and the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation will sanctioned Rs 1,34,000 crores.
