TDP, BJP prepare wish list

The Telugu Desam Party and BJP MPs have prepared its wish list ahead of the budget sessions and outlined 35 major issues that are troubling the residuary Andhra Pradesh. A meeting with both the party's MPs was hosted which was chaired by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.

The first in this list is the revenue deficit of AP state which is Rs 15,691 crores after the bifurcation. The MPs will ask the government to release funds and to grant Special Status to the AP state which can bring some relief to the state. Followed by a special allocation of Rs 5,000 crores for the construction of new capital. The MPs want the central government to allot separate section for the construction of new AP capital and release funds on regular bases.

CM Chandrababu Naidu has sought Civil Aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's help in developing the Vijayaywada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupathi airports into international standards. Mr Naidu also proposed to sanction funds for the establishing institutes like IIT, IIM, AIIMS etc. Apart from this, the AP government are proposing to convert 14 state highways into national highway.

The list clearly looks a massive one, how many will BJP government will accept is something, the TDP and BJP MPs, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu are worried about. So far the central government has not spoken about helping AP but assured AP leaders with words.
