KCR targets media

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has strategically targeted media in his speech today in the Assembly. Thanking Governor ESL Narasimhan on the occasion, KCR launched attacked on print and electronic media that are defaming government and MLAs.

Speaking in Assembly KCR said, “Bullet news in TV9 is very ridiculous and the way it insulted all the Telangana MLA is condemnable. We will take necessary action against these channels which cry foul.” Also KCR who shares a long standing tiff with newspaper AndhraJyothy and chief Radha Krishna slammed the newspaper's report in yesterday's edition. “These unclaimed stories of AndhraJyothy will not be tolerated and how dare the newspaper write such news with baseless information. We are warning the Seemandhra media to stop writing provoking stories,” added KCR.

Also the Telangana CM said Law on media will be brought like the Tamil Nadu government to end this venom campaign. Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy supported KCR and demanded the government to take necessary action against the media immediately.

TV9 says sorry

New Channel TV9 has apologized to the Telangana government regarding its Bullet News program that criticized MLAs of this region. The editor of the channel released a statement regretting the content in the program and assured that such programs will never be repeated.
