Arizona welcomes 29th Telangana state

The unprecedented struggle for over six decades came to a reality on June 2nd when the Indian nation welcomed the 29th state, Telangana. People from all walks of life hailing from Telangana celebrated the moment with joy and happiness.

Well the celebrations were not confined to this region only but the entire community present through out the globe made merry of this historic event.

Not to be left behind, the newly formed Arizona Telangana Association [AZTGA] honoured the  Telangana Formation Day on June 8th, 2014 held at Indo-American Cultural Hall. President of the AZTGA, Mr Sridhar Serineni anchored the program and popular folk singer Goreti Venkanna and music director Vandemataram Srinivas graced the historic event as chief guests.

Addressing the gathering Mr. Sridhar congratulated all the Telangana people who attended the event and spoke about the struggle and sacrifices made for the separate cause. He hoped that the Telangana history and tradition will be restored which were suppressed in the United Andra Pradesh and also called the young generation to get to know about the history and tradition of this region.

Mr. Sridhar said, AZTGA was formed only with a purpose and NRIs are welcome to join this association as members. He also revealed that the association will aim to host many more such programs in the future for the Telangana fraternity and urged for full support from the Telugu NRIs.

Thanking the chief guests who graced event, Mr. Sridhar said like many even he was influenced by Goreti Venkanna song.  Later in the event Goreti Venkanna entertained the audience and added that he like Phoenix. He thanked the guests for attending the event and said that he was proud to be a part of a historic event as such.
