Modi NO to his life history in books

The Gujarat Educational department has decided to add Prime Minister Narendra Modi's life history in school textbooks as part of curriculum and as the news touched Modi's ears, he reacted that it is not a good idea.

Taking on Twitter Modi said “Am reading in the news that some states want to include Narendra Modi's life struggles as a part of their school curriculum. I firmly believe that the life story of living individuals should not be included as a part of the school curriculum. India has a rich history of several stalwarts who made India what it is today. Young minds should read about these greats & emulate them.”

Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama had said inspiring events starting from his birth, his family background, school days and how he faced struggle at different stages of his life would in included in the textbooks. For this a committee has been appointed to prepare the final list of events that is supposed to be added.

The Gujarat education department will include a chapter on Modi’s life in the Social Science textbooks for Classes 5 to 7, from the academic session starting June 2015.
