Special Status to AP Triggers Agitation in Bihar

As Central Government announced to the residual Andhra Pradesh after carving out Telangana from it, a stir in Bihar started for a special status to that state too as it is also equally backward state.

The stir is initiated by the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar. He called for a peaceful Satyagraha in Gandhian way on March 2 to mark its protest against Congress led UPA Government’s apathy towards the long demand of Bihar.

Nitish Kumar said that the demand of Bihar has been dodged for years but the same is granted to Seemandhra within days which means a deliberate action on the part of the Center against the interests of the people of Bihar. He says that it is a clear cut case of injustice to Bihar which is unfortunate.

It will be a daylong bandh on March 2 on which day the Chief Minister called the people of Bihar to boycott their work on that and make it successful.

The Satyagraha on March 2 will be followed by Sankalpa Yatra by the Chief Minister on March 5 starting from Champaran district.

In the meanwhile BJP has announced rail roko program on Friday the 28th for the same purpose-protesting for special status for Bihar! They have requested the people of Bihar to avoid travelling on trains on that day.
