National Conference to split with Congress?

The Congress party is likely to loss another partner in their UPA government and this time it is the National Conference party of Jammu and Kashmir. The differences cropped up between the two parties over chief minister Omar Abdullah's scheme of creating 700 new administrative units in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections later this year.

CM Omar accused the Jammu and Kashmir state Congress for obstructing the scheme and the Congress said such a scheme cannot be implemented without considering the financial implications. However, the Omar met Congress president Sonia Gandhi to resolve the issue but the meeting ended up without any good result.

Omar also want his party NC to contest alone in the coming elections in order to give more seats to the party men which would eventually benefit them. Omar hinted the split but we have to wait for few more days for an official break-up!
