2017 end of Facebook: Study

With over 1.2 billion users, the social networking giant Facebook might collapse by the year 2017 to a rock bottom according to research cited by Princeton Universoty scholars. The study said that Facebook was spread like a viral disease in its initial days and now an average user feels bored of it.

 The researchers have quoted four major reason for this collapse, they are:

1. Age Factor:
    
    Facebook was started in the 2004 on February 4th and its been almost 10 years now. Yahoo and AOL are the other companies who gradually faded away from the internet users despite making efforts to pull the crowdd. Facebook has become old and outdated now, moreover users are looking for innovational sites.

2. Advertisements:

    If an user checks his Facebook homepage, the right column will be completely occupied by advertisements. Though it is kind of a revenue for Facebook and currently research stated that this ads are now annoying users. Facebook is remind MySpace which shot to fame in the year 2005 but gradually faded away and in 2011 it was sold for a huge loss to the investors.

3. Cool Factor:

    As Facebook targets teens more, the cool factor is currently missing in it. The young are getting more attracted to Whatsapp and Line. As these apps promote public sharing, Facebook does not allow public sharing in terms of privacy.

4. Innovation:

For the past few years Facebook has underwent many changes like Timeline, updates column, chat column on the right side were upgraded but user is looking more innovative design. Younger users are now migrating to Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

These are only the major factors. The research also claimed that around 900 million user will be out of Facebook by the year 2017 and it was reported that over 25 percent drop was already seen in the past two years.
