Railway authorities announced compensation of Rs.5.00 lakh to the family members of the dead in the fire broke in the AC bogie of Nanded-Bangalore train. The wounded will be paid a compenseation of Rs.50000 each.

Two forensic teams reached the place to conduct DNA tests. 13 bodies are shifted to Bangalore for DNA tests.

Enquiry is going on the incident to ascertain the responsibility for the cause of the fire accident.  The preliminary report says it may be due to electric short circuit.

The sad scene in the ill fated bogie B-1 is horrifying with only skulls left intact out of the bodies of the passengers with other parts of the bodies of the passengers are totally mutilated and mixed with one other. 

As the train has started from Bangalore, the Bangalore railway staff with first aids and other things is reaching Dharmavaram.  The compensation announced is clarified again that it will be Rs.5 lakh for the families of the dead and Rs. 1 lakh for the seriously injured and Rs.50 thousand for other injured.

South West Zone Railways say that short circuit is not the reason for catching fire.  The number of dead has gone up to 26.  Seven passengers are seriously wounded.

The authorities questioned eye witnesses are suspecting that it could have either happened from some chemicals or it can be a blast caused by some anti social elements’ action.
