Seemandhra Ministers Purandheswari, JD Seelam, Chiranjeevi, Kotla Suryaprakasha Reddy, Panabaka Lakshmi and Killi Kruparani met Union Minister Jairam Ramesh today.

After the meeting is over Minister Seelam stated that they have demanded that the city of Hyderabad be made UT and a new Railway division be made for Seemandhra.  Purandheswari said that a demand for appointing an expert committee on the land for the new Capital for Seemandhra and water distribution was made.

The Union Minister Chiranjeevi Said that it was pointed out that everyone in the State has a sentimental attachment with the Hyderabad city and it has to be made UT demand of which can never be compromised.  He also said that the common capital has not definite explanation and as such Hyderabad has to be made UT.

It was also told to the Minister Jairam Ramesh, as the Seemandhra Ministers revealed, that Bhadrachalam that was in East Godavari before 1956 should be included in Seemandhra.

The Seemandhra Ministers said that Jairam Ramesh assured that the Seemandhra people’s demands will be taken with a serious view.

The Congress party Ministers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Chidambaram, Narayana Swamy and Digvijay Singh also met at the resident of A.K.Antony at New Delhi today to discuss the issues related to the bifurcation.
