Telangana Will Lose More in Bifurcation- Kiran Kumar Reddy

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke at Rachabanda program at Chodavaram in Visakhapatnem district reiterated that the state will prosper only if it is united.

He said that the mega projects like Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar were constructed because the State was having united strength.  He said that naxal problem is prevailing in Khammam and Visakha districts which will intensify if the State is bifurcated.

Kiran Kumar said that it is a wrong notion that Seemandhra will be affected with the bifurcation but the loss will be more to Telangana region.  He said that the Telangana will have to spend Rs.35000 crores more on power if the State is bifurcated.

Reacting to Kiran Kumar’s comments, Telangana MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that the CM has no need to worry about Telangana. He questioned where his concern has gone when the Nalgonda waters were diverted to Chittore. Ponnam Prabhakar expressed his opinion that whatever Kiran Kumar wrote to GoM was only his personal opinion but not as a CM of the State.
